Congratulations to our Third Nine Weeks Honor Roll

Today is the last day for library book checkouts. All library books must be returned on Monday, May 20th.

There will be an informational meeting for a summer vocal workshop and youth chorale on Tuesday, May 21 at 6:30 pm. Please stop by the office for more information.

Yearbooks are here! If you didn't order one, it's not too late! Bring $20 to Mrs. Hayes and you can buy one!

Physicals will be given May 21, 2013 at Rockbridge County High School for all students who plan to participate in high school athletics next year. The cost is $10.00.  Girls' physicals begin at 5:30 pm and boys' physicals at 6:30 pm.  All student-athletes must have their blood pressure, height, weight, and vision completed, as well as parts 1, 2, 4, and 5 of the new VHSL physical form.

The "Rock the Block" party scheduled for today has been postponed. It has been rescheduled for next Friday, May 24, 3:30-5:30. Students who are invited received invitations this week.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR 7TH GRADE STUDENTS AND PARENTS

  • 7TH GRADE TOUR: Tuesday, March 19TH   (9:00-10:00).  7th grade students will visit PMHS with their teachers.  Students will tour the school with PMHS student guides, see classes in session and meet counselors, principals and faculty. Each student will receive a PMHS Course Description Booklet and important registration materials. Please review this information and bring it to the registration meeting.
  • REGISTRATION: Tuesday, March 26th OR Monday, April 8th (5:30 - 6:30)-PMHS Commons. 8th Grade Registration is for rising 8th grade students and their parent or guardian. Please attend only one meeting. Remember to bring the Course Description Booklet that your child received at the Tour. The purpose of this meeting is to explain diploma options, select next year’s classes and answer any questions regarding your child’s transition to PMHS. 
  • 8th GRADE ORIENTATION:  Thursday, August 15th (9:00 – 12:30) - PMHS Commons. This is for students only. Eighth grade students will experience their first day of school without upper classmen. They will receive their schedules, attend abbreviated classes, receive lockers and hear from various school officials. Group activities with teachers and mentors will help students become familiar with school events. The event will conclude with a group picture and pizza! Parents should pick up students at 12:30. If your child needs transportation, please call the Bus Lot (261-6867) by 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 9th (requests will not be taken after that time.)
